Speakers: Victoria Ryves, Learning and Community Development Manager, GLAM Cares

This session explores the ingredients needed to build sustainable community wellbeing programmes. It includes practical steps to building a culture of care to support community practitioners, the role of advocacy and embedding partnerships. The session is presented by Victoria Ryves who manages the Learning and Community programmes for Doncaster Culture Services, including ‘History, Health and Happiness’. History, Health and Happiness has been shortlisted for Museums and Heritage Awards, as well as for the Best Museum Change Lives project at the 2022 Museums Change Lives Awards. 

Victoria is also one of the organisers of GLAM Cares , founded in 2020. The group aims to provide peer support and training for community engagement professionals. The group also advocates for the importance of looking after the wellbeing of community engagement staff, so that they are able to look after the wellbeing of others.
