Find out how the Museum of London is flipping the collections online experience on its head as part of a five-year digital transformation programme ahead of its new museum opening at West Smithfield. We’re exploring new ways to present our collections ‘stories first’ rather than ‘objects first’ to make them more relatable to people’s lives today. History buffs and academics will still be able to explore our objects in detail online, but for the casual and curious browsers we’ll present a new, more compelling and more accessible way in. We will bring to life some of the remarkable stories behind objects that might seem unremarkable at first glance, including a fascinating collection of oral histories never made public before.
