The Heritage Volunteering Group (HVG) has been in existence since 2014 and believes that by inspiring collaboration and creating opportunities for people to share ideas that we can help transform volunteering in the heritage sector. We work on a range of projects designed to champion and promote best practice in volunteering and volunteer management. We also work with a wide variety of partners to ensure heritage volunteering has a strong voice both in our sector and beyond. Sharing best practice and encouraging feedback on emerging issues on our social media channels, during our regular monthly sessions and our annual conference each year, there is a wealth of knowledge and experience we are able to share with those managing and supporting volunteers in the sector. Key issues that are being spoken of is inclusivity, digital and young people. Not only will we share with you our current thinking, but will be eager to hear your challenges and successes so we can formulate HVG’s strategy for the future.
