In 2021 IWM introduced a Buddy System to ensure that volunteers are fully trained, able and willing to represent the IWM and its collections to its many audiences. The primary aim was to create an inclusive environment for volunteers to help maintain and enhance the world-class reputation of IWM as a centre of excellence in terms of collective knowledge and individual discovery.  Elena and Karen will share tips for transferring their learning and experience into practice for your organisation.
