Speakers: Sheldon Paquin, Project Delivery Manager for Partnerships, Science Museum Group

As soon as a touring exhibition leaves its home country, its impact is lessened – audience research used to inform how the display took shape, locally empowered historical context, and content licensing is suddenly no longer applicable. At the Science Museum Group, we are working with other museums globally to fund and co-curate new exhibitions as an alternative to traditional traveling displays. Our latest project, Injecting Hope, shows how we connected with partners in India and China to develop three national tours about the development of COVID vaccines – and how by using this model, we were able to tell the same story in three remarkably different ways in a very sensitive context.
