Leicester is well known for its diverse population and reflecting this in our on-gallery interpretation has always been an important goal for Leicester Museums & Galleries. Thinking of ways we could embed this into our practise we began a project to install moveable digital labels alongside permanent and temporary displays at our flagship venue, Leicester Museum & Art Gallery.
Kerem Cetindamar, Digital Project Manager will guide you through this interesting Arts Council funded project from concept to launch. Find out more about the practicality of the devices – purchase costs, set-up and maintenance. We’ll also look at the visitor outreach side of the project – how we’ve engaged with audiences, collected new interpretations and how those new labels were received by the public and staff.
